Blue Room Sound’s engineer and owner Jonathan Baker has been involved with music since he was 14. He got his first loan to buy his first drum set, he then became a drummer for the band Hobo Joe. The band performed at various venues around the area from small town bars to bigger locales such as Piere’s Entertainment Center in Fort Wayne, IN. They produced one album that was sold at Borders book and music store. Hobo Joe also made it on 96.3 Essentials album and won a battle of the bands.
The band took a backseat to marriages and children, but Jonathan’s love for music has remained. He for a short time was the singer and guitarist for local band Wylas who performed at a local battle of the bands and won against 8 other bands. Shortly thereafter he began to be very interested in recording/mixing/mastering music. From this desire Blue Room Sound Studios came to be created. Working right along side Jonathan is his wife, Michelle Baker. She manages the business and advertising aspect of Blue Room Sound, making sure everything runs smoothly. She has also been playing drums since 2009.
